Walk to School Week
Walk, bike, scoot or run on any or all days for a daily student raffle ticket. A teacher-led walking school bus meets at 8:25 AM across from Walter’s, and the Larchmont Village group leaves Alden and Copley at 8:20 AM.

The Central Parent Teacher Association provides support and resources for our entire school community. Together, we fund cultural activities, community-building events and unique learning opportunities for students, families, teachers and staff.

The quick version of this week’s Tiger Talk—dates, reminders and what families need to do.
Free coffee for walking parents
The first 70 parents who walk, bike or scoot to school can enjoy a complimentary drink from the Ramblin Coffee Truck on campus. Venmo will be accepted after the first 70 orders.
Orienta community walk
Meet at Giles Park, at the corner of Orienta and Old Post Road. The group will leave by 8:20 AM to walk to Central together.
Kindergarten Square Dance
Kindergartners and one grown-up are invited to dance outside on the gym blacktop. Please leave siblings at home, dress for the weather and add Western accessories if you have them.
Get ready for Scare Fair
Buy a $30 advance wristband for unlimited games, arts and crafts and more; wristbands rise to $35 cash-only at the event. Central also needs more than 100 volunteers, nut-free themed treats and activity sponsors.
Sponsor the fun
Help keep the games and activities flowing all day! Families, businesses and groups can sponsor a Scare Fair activity, help offset event costs and receive printed event-day recognition.

The yearbook is created from family photo contributions. Please upload photos of your children and grade throughout the year through the Yearbook Committee’s link in ParentSquare.
October calendar
No school October 12. Early dismissal is at 2:45 PM on October 16. Grades 3–5 Tinkering Night is October 28 from 6–7 PM, and the all-school Halloween Parade is October 30 from 2:15–3 PM.
November reminders
Candy collection for charity runs until 8:40 AM on November 2. There is no school on November 3.
