The Central Parent Teacher Association provides support and resources for our entire school community. Together, we fund cultural activities, community-building events and unique learning opportunities for students, families, teachers and staff.

This Week’s News
The quick version of this week’s Tiger Talk—dates, reminders and what families need to do.
Spirit Day
Students are invited to show their Central spirit by wearing orange and black to school.
Free Family Movie Night
Minions & Monsters will be shown on the Central blacktop and field. Bring chairs or blankets; every child needs an adult. Concessions are cash only.
Walk to School Week
Walk, bike or scoot for student raffle tickets. On Monday, the first 70 participating parents receive free Ramblin Coffee until 9:15 AM. The daily walking school bus meets at 8:25 AM across from Walter’s.
Orienta community walk
Meet at Giles Park, at the corner of Orienta and Old Post Road. The group will leave by 8:20 AM to walk to Central together.
Kindergarten Square Dance
Kindergartners and one grown-up are invited. Please leave siblings at home and dress for an outdoor evening on the gym blacktop.
Help fund fall traditions
Please contribute $20 per adult—not per household—to support Scare Fair, Book Fair and other fall programs. Membership does not require a time commitment.
October calendar updates
No school October 12. Early dismissal is at 2:45 PM on October 16. The K–2 Math Night planned for October 14 is being rescheduled; a new date will be announced.
Save these dates
Scare Fair is October 24 from 12–4 PM. Grades 3–5 Tinkering Night is October 28 from 6–7 PM, and the all-school Halloween Parade is October 30 from 2:15–3 PM.
